1. Who we are

Saang Web is a sole-trader web design and Google listing service based in Folkestone, Kent, United Kingdom. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our" it means Saang Web.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, but you can contact us using the details above for any data protection queries.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the information needed to respond to enquiries and deliver our services:

  • Your name
  • Business name
  • Email address or WhatsApp number
  • Town or city (so we know the area you operate in)
  • Any details you choose to include in your message

We do not collect sensitive or special-category data.

  • Through the contact form on this website
  • Via WhatsApp or email conversations you initiate
  • From publicly available business information (e.g. Google Business Profiles) when conducting outreach

4. Why we collect it and our lawful basis

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are: promoting our services to other businesses that may benefit from them, and responding to potential customers who contact us. These interests do not override your rights, and you can object at any time.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Resend — our transactional email provider, used to deliver form submissions to us
  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and may process limited technical data (e.g. IP addresses) for security and performance
  • HMRC — if required for tax compliance

All third-party processors are bound by their own data protection obligations.

6. International transfers

Resend and Cloudflare are US-based companies. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the UK's adequacy regulations.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that don't become clients: deleted within 12 months of last contact
  • Client records and invoices: retained for the duration of the contract plus 6 years, as required for HMRC tax records
  • WhatsApp and email conversations: retained for the duration of our business relationship, then deleted

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no compelling reason to keep it

  • Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
